Our Mission
Before Duty Calls began with a simple belief: Mornings Matter.
Before the radios turn on.
Before the boots hit the floor.
Before the shift begins.
For over a decade, I’ve worked in mental and behavioral health supporting individuals in high-stress environments where showing up ready isn’t optional. I’ve worked alongside and cared for veterans, first responders, and healthcare professionals, people who carry more than most ever see.
In those spaces, you learn quickly what responsibility really looks like.
And you notice something else.
Even though these individuals give so much, they’re not always supported in the ways they should be. There’s a disconnect between what they carry and how often that weight is truly recognized.
That stayed with me.
Because I’ve seen the early mornings. The long shifts. The moments before everything starts when you have to get yourself grounded before stepping into the day.
And in those moments, coffee becomes more than just a drink.
It’s a reset.
A breath.
A way to prepare yourself for what’s ahead.
This mission is personal.
I grew up around service. My grandfather served in Vietnam. My dad served in Desert Storm and later as a police officer. Close friends of mine have served as well.
That kind of environment shapes you.
It teaches you discipline. Responsibility. And what it means to show up, no matter what.
Before Duty Calls was built to honor that mindset.
Not through noise. Not through politics.
But through consistency, respect, and recognition given daily, not just occasionally.
This isn’t just coffee.
It’s for the people who carry responsibility.
The ones who show up early.
The ones who hold things together.
Proudly roasted in America.
Rooted in family, service, and discipline.
Together, we rise.
One morning at a time.
